CFMS Prepares for May 10-11-12, 2010

Grimsby, Ont. – The Canadian Fleet Maintenance Seminar begins preparations for it’s next event being held May 10-11-12 at the Hilton Suites, Toronto/Markham, 8500 Warden Ave, Markham ON.

A subsidiary of the ATTSA (Automotive Transportation Service Superintendents Assoc.) the CFMS has been holding its seminar annually in the Toronto area since 1963. A non profit organization, the CFMS' goal is to promote knowledge, skills and continuous improvement on matters related to vehicles and equipment of the trucking industry, with a specific focus on maintenance and safety. Through its use of discussion panels and guest speaker’s, relevant topics are routinely brought to life by active members of the North American Trucking Industry. Working in conjunction with the OEM community every effort is made to share experiences and technical insights on what works and what doesn’t with today’s equipment and products.

Of special note is next year’s new location, 25 minutes from downtown Toronto and Pearson International airport and a new two day meeting format. Also featured will be an outside Truck /Equipment Display, Trade Show and Canadian Fleet Maintenance Manager of the Year award.

2009 Award WinnerOur 2009 and 20th winner of the Canadian Fleet Maintenance Manager Award this year was Ben Vandespyker of the Active Transport Group based in Milton Ontario. Ben has served in the industry for 50 years and has been an active member of the Toronto ATS for many years.
